The Perry City Council adopted its final budget and millage rate for the coming fiscal year Tuesday with little fanfare and no public input.
With a 3-0 vote, the council set the upcoming millage rate at 6.0716 (a figure slightly lower than last year’s rate of 6.12) and approved a proposed $10.8 million budget that included a three-percent raise for city employees. (Councilwoman Venita Woodfaulk was not present due to a death in her family; Councilwoman Shirlie Hampton was not present due to health issues.)
