A resurfacing project on U.S. Highway 19 began as scheduled Monday, with crews scraping off top layers of asphalt and preparing to lay new ones.
The 3.5-mile project will run from the Fenholloway River to the intersection at U.S. 221/Jefferson Street. Drivers are reminded to watch for reduced travel lanes during workday hours.
