H.B. Pemberton Sr.

H. B. Pemberton Sr., 89, died Oct. 3, 2018, in Tallahassee. H. B. was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Plant City to James David Pemberton and Mamie Pemberton.

H. B. honorably served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. H. B. was of the Baptist faith and worked for American Can Co. in Dade City, from 1959 to 1975 before retiring. He was an avid sportsman and loving family man.

H. B. was preceded in death by: his parents, James and Mamie Pemberton; and his son, H. B. Pemberton Jr.

He is survived by: his wife of 68 years, Cletous Pemberton; his son, Richard (Lawanda) Pemberton; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra Jefferies and JoAnn Alford; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service is planned for a later date at Bushnell National Cemetery in Bushnell. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
