    James “Jimmy” Brian Tyler

    James “Jimmy” Brian Tyler, 61, died Oct. 9, 2018, in Perry. Jimmy was born July 5, 1957, in Tallahassee to Stanley and Shirley Courtney Tyler.
Jimmy honorably served our country in the United States Army during Desert Storm. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of San Pedro Baptist Church. He worked as a pipefitter in the construction industry. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Jimmy also was a member of the Boy Scouts.
Jimmy was preceded in death by: his mother, Shirley Courtney Tyler; and his brother, Stephen Tyler, Sr.
Jimmy is survived by: his father, Stanley Tyler and his wife, Deek, of Perry; his son, Bryan Tyler and daughter, Samantha Tyler; his brother, David Tyler; and his sister, Cathy Jenkins and her husband, Robbie; as a well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. Eddie Pridgeon officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday,Oct. 14, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
