Man crashes head-on with dump truck, flees into woods

A Brandenton man who survived a head-on collision with a loaded dump truck fled into the woods off Highway 98 Monday afternoon and eluded law enforcement officers for three hours before capture.

Jessy Earl Arnold, 43, complained of leg and arm injuries when he was taken into custody nearly two miles away from the crash site around 4:30 p.m.
