Elections office wants to double early voters

Taylor County Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland has set the bar high — publicly stating that her office wants to double the number of voters who vote this year when compared to the same mid-term elections four years ago.

At the close of early voting Monday we had a total of 1,098 voters cast ballots early, which sounds pretty good, but I know Taylor County voters can do better,” Southerland said.
