    Former ALS worker lodges complaints

    In a complaint filed with the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR), a former employee of AMTEC Less-Lethal (ALS) claims she was fired in retaliation for complaining about sexual harrassment, in addition to alleging she warned supervisors of unsafe working conditions months before a Sept. 14 explosion that later claimed the lives of two fellow employees.

    In the Oct. 16 complaint filed with the FCHR – the state agency tasked by the Florida Legislature with addressing discrimination issues — former ALS employee Jackie Hendry claims she was terminated after objecting to repeated sexual harassment by her supervisor at the local manufacturing and training facility.
