Man arguing with fire hydrant is arrested

A Perry man with outstanding charges for retail theft was arrested Tuesday after concerned citizens called to report he was arguing with a fire hydrant.

When officers arrived at the Woodard Street scene, Chedrick Burrell, 28, was petting the hydrant and resisted their efforts to be taken into custody.
