    Truck vs. palm tree collision kills local man

    A Perry man was killed in a rollover crash so violent that the vehicle’s engine was shoved into the front cab Tuesday night in front of Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH).

    The driver, Willie Gent, 65, was a former longtime City of Perry employee who retired in 2006. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
