The Taylor County Commission will meet with a representative of the Gulf Consortium during a Thursday, Nov. 8, workshop to discuss funds due to the county from administrative fines and civil penalties levied after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill (RESTORE Act funds).
In addition to $4.2 million in Pot 1 funds (which the county plans to use for canal dredging), it is also eligible for separate Pot 3 funds, which will be overseen by the consortium.
