Keaton canal dredge work to begin in ’19?

The dredging of Keaton Beach canals could begin as soon as the start of the new year, with the dredging of the Steinhatchee public boat ramp basin possibly following later in 2019.

This news came after the Taylor County Commission agreed to move up $98,348 in local funding originally scheduled to be allocated during the 2019-20 fiscal year to the current year in order to conduct the engineering and permitting for both projects simultaneously.
