More than 65% of Taylor County’s registered voters cast their ballots in Tuesday’s general election – although more than half of those chose to either vote early or cast a mail ballot instead of voting at the precinct on election day.
According to results provided by Taylor County Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland, 7,985 ballots were cast – out of the county’s total of 12,142 active registered voters.
