County takes on maintenance of Cabbage Grove Cemetery

Citing authority given to the Taylor County Commission by a special act of the Florida Legislature in 1967, the board recently agreed to assume the maintenance of Cabbage Grove Cemetery.

After discussing the issue during several meetings and workshops over the past several months, on Nov. 19 the commission considered a formal request from representatives of Oakland Baptist Church, which oversees the cemetery site.
