Foley Mill answers ‘What’s that smell?’

During periods of high humidity or certain wind patterns over the past few weeks, some local residents have been prompted to check the bottom of their shoes or hum the chorus of “That Smell” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The offensive odors are actually related to recent and ongoing upgrades at the local Georgia-Pacific Foley Cellulose Mill, according to GP-Foley Mill Public Affairs Manager Scott Mixon.
