The county will soon once again benefit from free labor provided through the inmate trustee program, now that the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) has installed a full-body scanner at the Taylor County Jail.
At the county’s most recent Dec. 9 meeting, County Administrator LaWanda Pemberton informed commissioners that the TCSO had recently completed installation of a full-body scanner at the county jail using a portion of one-cent sales tax revenues allocated to the TCSO by the county commission for capital purchases.
