Celia “Ramona” Hunter White, 67, of Crossville, Tenn., died Dec. 17, 2018, in Crossville, Tenn.
She was born June 20, 1951, in Perry to Cecil A. Hunter and Mary Fife Hunter.
Ramona was of the Baptist faith and grew up attending Pisgah Baptist Church. Ramona graduated from Taylor County High School in 1969 and moved to Live Oak. She worked for North Florida Telephone Co./Alltel as a long-distance operator, and then in the business section. She was later a mortgage processor for a number of years, working for First Federal in Live Oak, and later at Envision Credit Union in Tallahassee. She loved to read and travel and was a devoted and loving mother.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Cecil A. Hunter and Mary Fife Hunter Paramore.
She is survived by: her daughter, Dana Baucom of Crossville, Tenn.; her sisters, Brenda Hunter Dyal of Crossville, Tenn., and Margaret Lundy (Lamar) of Perry; her niece, Lori Dyal Harding; her nephews, Timothy Lundy (Jennifer) and Brett Lundy (LeighAnne); her grand-nieces, Kaitlin Brown, Savannah Lundy, Victoria Lundy and Molly Lundy; her grand-nephews, Darren Brown, Tyler Harding and Nate Lundy. She is also survived by her grand-dog Tucker, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship.
A graveside service will be held today (Friday) at 2 p.m. in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home.
All arrangements are under the directions of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to Cumberland County Hospice of Crossville, Tenn.
