Edith Ione “Edie” Mosley, 75, gained her wings on Dec. 26, 2018, in Perry. Edie was born Sept. 6, 1943, in Louisville, Ky. to Henry and Marjorie Roe.
Edie loved the Lord and was a faithful Christian. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Edie had a passion for sewing, riding her Harley, baking, horse back riding and enjoying nature. She was warm and kind, and had a generous heart. Her compassion and love for others was felt by everyone she encountered. The doors to her home were always open; “the more the merrier”. Edie retired from Buckeye Cellulose after more than 25 years of service.
Edie was preceded in death by: her father, Henry Lee Roe; her brother, Henry Roe II; and her sister, Barbara Jean “Barbie” Swanson.
She is survived by: her mother, Marjorie Roe; her sister, Sandy Cruce; her brother, Bobby Kreps; her children, James Nicholas Brock, Donnie Mosley, Michelle B. Counce, Tonya M. Johnson (Kevin), Heather Ione Mosley (Brandon “Tater” Phelps), Keith Counce; five grandchildren, Sarinah, Brooke, Meagan, Britani and Harley; as well as a host of beloved friends and family.
No services are planned at this time. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
