Sara Helen Lyle, 79, of Perry, died Dec. 29, 2018, at Capital Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Sara was born May 5, 1939, in Taylor County to James Calhoun Franklin and Annie Lee Clifton Franklin.
Sara was a graduate of Taylor County High School in 1957 and worked as a teller for more than 33 years with Wachovia Bank in Perry, which later became Wells Fargo. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, shopping and baking.
Sara was preceded in death by: her parents;
and her husband, Gerald R. Lyle in 2014.
She is survived by: two daughters, Sonya Sauls of Nashville, Tenn.,
and Sherri Lyle of Perry; one son, Jerry Lyle of Perry; one brother, Danny
Franklin of Perry; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Trey and Destiny Lyle, SaTarah
Sauls, Terry Watters, Robert Wynn Jr. and Robin Wynn; as well as numerous
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of
Perry. In lieu of flowers, the family request the donations be made to the
sender’s favorite charity.
