High-speed chase ends in DUI and meth charges

A 24-year-old Perry man led law enforcement officers from three different agencies on a car chase that wound through the city from Old Dixie Highway and crossed into the county off Pine Bluff Road Monday night.

Maverick D. Lollis was finally taken into custody after Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Trooper Joe Clements performed a pursuit termination maneuver (also known as a Pursuit Intervention Technique/PIT), which caused Lollis’ truck to turn sideways and come to a stop near Antioch Church located off Puckett Road.
