    Hollis R. Wetherington

    Hollis R. Wetherington, 71, died  Dec. 27, 2018, in Perry. Hollis was born Feb. 14, 1947, in Tampa to H.R. Wetherington and Maxine Cornelius Wetherington.

    Hollis was of the Methodist faith. He worked with CSX Railroad as a clerk, retiring in 1999. He moved to Taylor county in 1989, and enjoyed the outdoors, working on his ranch in Boyd and hunting.

    Hollis was preceded in death by: his parents, H.R. Wetherington and Maxine Wetherington; and a son, Robert Wade Wetherington.

    Hollis is survived by: his wife of 52 years, Sandra Wetherington; his sons, Hollis (Alaina) Wetherington and Troy (Beth Lawter) Wetherington ; his sisters, Dorinda Morrow, Timmie Morgan and Jane Merriam;  three grandchildren, Cameron (Cody Ford), Reiley, and Grant; one great-granddaughter, Cohen; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

    The family will conduct a celebration of life service on Jan. 12, 2019, at their home, 4860 Roping Lane, Perry, Florida 32347, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald’s House in Gainesville.
