Pittman files written plea, court appearance waived

Attorneys for Kayla Anne Pittman entered a written plea of “not guilty” on her behalf in response to charges of second degree murder prior to arraignment hearings held Monday.

The 25-year-old did not have to appear in court – as is standard procedure.

PHOTO: Judge Greg Parker issued a verbal order Monday that t-shirts bearing the message “#Justice for Shawnie” would not be allowed to be worn in the courtroom during future proceedings.
