    No arrest in shooting that claimed the life of 34-year-old Perry man

    The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TSCO) is releasing very few details regarding an early-morning shooting Sunday that claimed the life of Christopher “Chris” Strickland, a 34-year-old father of two.

    Lead TCSO investigator Gina Deeson released the following statement: “On Jan. 20, at approximately 1:57 a.m., the Taylor County Communications Center received 911 calls regarding a shooting at 7031 S. Red Padgett Road. Taylor County deputies, along with EMS, responded to the location immediately. Upon their arrival, medical attention was provided; however the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
