Multi-county, high-speed chase ends in downtown Perry

A high-speed chase that originated on I-10 and involved several different law enforcement agencies ended just outside of downtown Perry Sunday night when Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers utilized “Precision Immobilization Techniques” (PIT) to stop a reckless driving vehicle on Jefferson Street.

According to a FHP press release, Marcus Knight, 25, of Clermont was arrested and booked into the Taylor County Jail after a multi-county chase that ended with spike strips and a crash near the intersection of Jefferson Street and Cherry Street Sunday evening.
