    No charges in children’s deaths

    Posted on January 30, 2019

Third Judicial Circuit State Attorney Jeffrey Seigmeister has decided not to file charges against the mother and grandmother of the three young children who died from “accidental asphyxiation” after being trapped in a freezer on Jan. 13 in Live Oak.

In a Jan. 25 letter to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), Seigmeister states that Helen Harris (grandmother and legal guardian of 6-year-old Dawlton Lee Delbridge and his 19-month-old sister Kaliegh Mae Meeks) and Stephanie Jackson (mother of 4-year-old Brook’lyn Leigh Jackson) will not be charged.
