Taylor County High School (TCHS) teacher L. Gay Howell was just starting the lesson for her second period students Monday morning when the door to her classroom suddenly opened.
Through the doorway strolled Superintendent of Schools Danny Glover Jr. carrying a bouquet of roses and the news she had been named the Taylor School District’s “Teacher of the Year.”
