County agrees to 75% tax break for Super-Pufft

Last week, Super-Pufft Snacks USA, LLC, unveiled plans for a proposed $20 million expansion to its Perry plant that could add 100 jobs to its existing 76-person workforce.

Company officials are seeking a tax exemption to help ensure the expansion comes here, and during a special meeting Thursday afternoon, the Taylor County Commission agreed in principal to a 75% exemption over 10 years, voting unanimously to move forward with the tax exemption process, which will culminate in a public hearing.
