    Carl Drew Leggett

    Carl Drew Leggett, 76, of Perry, Fla., passed away on February 9, 2019, at his home in Perry. Carl was born March 17, 1942, in Perry to Clarence Drew Leggett and Sylvia Cox Leggett. He attended Taylor County High School before going to work in logging. Carl honorably served our country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic with M.A. Rigoni Logging for more than 30 years. He was of the Pentecostal faith and in his spare time enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, fishing, and reading his Bible. Carl said his grandchildren were the joy of his life.

    Carl was preceded in death by; his Father, Clarence Drew Leggett; his wife, Geraldine Bratcher Leggett; a son, Walter Joseph Baker Padgett; a daughter, Rebecca Padgett Mills; two brothers, Larry and Tommy Leggett; and a sister, Virginia Dale Leggett.

    He is survived by; his mother, Sylvia Cox Leggett, of Perry; two sons, Shane Padgett and Danny Padgett; three brothers, Billy Leggett, Ronald Leggett, DeWayne Leggett, and wife Brenda, all of Taylor County; two sisters, Patricia Graddy, of Perry, and Lisa Adams, of Utah; seven grandchildren, Danny, Christopher, Joseph, Shana, Shane, Carl, Kelsey, and Layne; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at First Assembly of God of Perry with Bro. John Rodriguez, Bro. David Stephens and Bro. Gary Brett officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, also at First Assembly of God of Perry. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
