Case likely headed to grand jury

Investigators with the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) say they are close to completing their investigation into the Jan. 20 shooting death of 34-year-old Christopher “Chris” Strickland.

According to TCSO Major Marty Tompkins, the TCSO anticipates turning all evidence and information over to the State Attorney’s Office for presentation to a grand jury within the next several weeks.
