Alma Jean Candis

Alma Jean Candis, 57, died Feb. 14, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee. Alma was born January 29, 1962, in Perry to Rosa Mae and James Candis.

At an early age, Alma joined the Church of God of Prophecy. She was a graduate of Taylor County High School. After graduation, she was employed at Martin’s Electronics.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa Mae and James Candis.

She is survived by her sisters, Rose Mary Demps (Harry) and Catherine Ruffin (Lawrence), as well as her cousins and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. at New Brooklyn M.B. Church. Internment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 22, from 5-6 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Home. All arrangements are under the direction of Trinity Funeral Home.
