    Jeanne Marie Blaske

    Posted on February 22, 2019

Jeanne Marie Blaske (Aunt Nennie), 41, gained her heavenly wings Feb. 20, 2019, after a battle of illness. She was born July 21, 1977.

Jeanne was of the Pentecostal Faith and attended First Assembly of God in Perry. She graduated in 1996 from Taylor County High School, where she completed 4 years of ROTC. She had a heart so big that no one was ever a stranger. Her love for cooking landed her as a cook at the local Huddle House for many years and a passion for welding at American Aluminum. Her favorite thing she loved to do with her husband Richard was fishing. But first and foremost, her love for her husband, children, grandchildren and family was extraordinary. She also loved her Florida State Seminoles.

Jeanne was preceded in death by: her brother, Robert Monk Jr.; both sets of grandparents and her granny, Lillie Mae Cruce; her uncles, Roy Orlando and James Gill; and her “brothern law” Louis Blaske.

She is survived by: her husband of 18 years, Richard Blaske; her parents, Ralph and Stephanie Cruce; her father-in-law, Jerry Blaske; her three sons, Stephen Monk (Megan), Ricky Blaske (Kristina) and Jeremy Blaske; her two stepsons, Stephen Blaske and Lee McLeod; her three stepdaughters, Courtney Blaske, Amanda Weaver and Jessica Carter; her three sisters, Monica Wright (Kenny Grambling), Kimberly Fenner (Brad) and Jessica Kay Monk.; her two brothers, Thomas Cruce and Steven Monk (Patricia); her two brother-in-laws, Jerry Blaske Jr. and Kelly Blaske (Dawn); 11 grandkids; and a host of nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God in Perry.

Brother David Stephens and Brother Rick Patrick will officiate the service.
