Bonnie Josephine Prater

Bonnie Josephine Prater, 79, passed away on Feb. 16, 2019 in Mayo.  Bonnie was born Aug. 11, 1939, in Sabetha, Kan. to Theodore Franklin Steele and Ruth Close Steele.

Bonnie was devout Catholic and honored God everyday through her actions and through prayer.  She had a very generous heart and donated to multiple causes. 

Bonnie was preceded in death by: her husband, Kenneth Prater; her parents, Theodore and Ruth Steele; her sister, Shirley Brown; and her brother, Theodore Steele.

She is survived by: five children, Charles Prater, Christy Courtney, Shelly LeGrotte, Tracy Truelove and Sonja Elliott; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Phil Fortin officiating.  Interment services followed immediately afterwards in Pineview Memorial Cemetery.  All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
