Large stash of Fentanyl found by inmate work crew supervisor

A large amount of Fentanyl — evidently hidden for inmate work crew members to find and smuggle back into prison — was discovered at the crew’s staging area at the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) work yard last week.

A Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) sergeant found 42.2 grams of the powerful and potentially deadly narcotic, along with 92 grams of synthetic cannabis, Tuesday, Feb. 19, and alerted the Perry Police Department (PPD).
