Elsie Williams Jennings, 96, of Rayne, La., died Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, at her home with her family. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, March 2 at Antioch Revival Center with Brother Robert (Cricket) Watson officiating. Burial will follow at the Carlton Cemetery.
Jennings was born in Taylor County, Fla., on June 30, 1922, to Frank P. Williams and Mellie Arrie Sadler. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Antioch Revival Center.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Frank and Mellie, a brother Coy Lee Williams of Perry, Fla., and a sister Arrie Bell Wilson of Baconton, Ga.
Jennings is survived by her two daughters Linda (Kenneth) Padgett of Perry, Fla., Debra (fiancé Daniel) Benton of Rayne, La., two sons Roger (Lois) Grisham of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Wayne Jennings of Lamont, Fla. Jennings also had 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family has charge of the arrangements.
