Diana “Tissy” Mills

Diana “Tissy” Mills, 51, of Perry Fla., died Feb. 20, 2019, at Shands Medical Center in Gainesville, Fla. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. at Temple of God Church of God in Christ. Visitation is Friday, March, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the same church. The interment will be at Springhill Cemetery following the funeral service.

Diana leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Terarra Simmons, Hermeshia Waddell, and two sons, Herbert Waddell Jr. and Derion Powell; 14 grandchildren, Taniya, Migeria, K’Orey, Akeema, Ahzeriah, Zariah, Rhaynna, Akeela, Kareenah, Serenity, Akeena Jr., Jamine Jr., Leland and Hayden; her mother Shirley Jean Austin; brothers J.P. Austin Jr., Dominique White, Carl Harrison and David Harrison; sisters Natasha Space, Sonja Scruggs, Dionne White Jackson (JaKari), Charmaine Hamilton (Mark), Constance Field (Ian), Hattie Powell, Alexa Powell, Charity Harrison and Jacqueline Harrison; a loving companion, Freddie “Pap” Oliver; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
