The Taylor County Commission has agreed to extend the hours of operation at the Blue Springs roll-off site on certain days — a move that is expected to cost the county an estimated $10,000 per year.
The board made the decision at its Feb. 19 meeting, acknowledging that the extra expense — in addition to cost overruns in recent years – may force the county to raise the annual $140 residential solid waste assessment during this summer’s budget process.
