Railroad updates and repairs

Sparks were flying when construction crews began working last week to replace the railroad crossing signals on Jefferson Street. Railroad officials have notified the City of Perry that they have added repairing the railroad crossing on Center Street to their projects list here.

“They actually plan to repair that crossing before they start work on repairing/replacing the Jefferson Street crossing,” City Manager Taylor Brown said.
