    Merle Dean Louk, 80, died March 3, 2019, in Perry. Merle was born April 14, 1938, in Plant City to James Burl Gill and Ada Idella Tucker Gill.

    Merle was a Christian of the Church of God faith. Merle owned Merleā€™s Beauty Salon off Paul Poppell Rd. for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and loved flowers.

    Merle was preceded in death by: her parents, James Burl and Ada Idella Gill; her sisters, Doris Brock, Maxine Pearce and Christine Sapp; and her brothers Clint Gill, Roscoe Gill, Elvin Gill, Clyde Gill and Seldon Gill.

    Merle is survived by: her husband of 50 years, John Louk; her children, J.W. Louk (Gloria),
    Debbie Sweers (Dave), Sandra Green and Roger L. Green (Melanie); her twin
    brother, James Burl Gill, Jr. (Yvonne); four grandchildren,; one great-grandson; as well
    as a host of nieces and nephews.

    Private services will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make donations to Big Bend Hospice in her memory. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
