County may proceed on Contractor’s Road issue

Last month, four Taylor County commissioners abstained from voting on an issue involving Buckeye Technologies citing potential conflicts of interest, sparking County Attorney Conrad Bishop to request an opinion as to how to proceed from the Florida Commission on Ethics.

On Monday, Feb. 4, Bishop presented that opinion, which stated there was no conflict of interest and the commission could proceed with the issue at hand, namely what to do about Contractor’s Road, which leads into Buckeye and is in need of resurfacing.
