County discusses strategic planning, capital purchases

County commissioners and staff are in the process of addressing a wide range of issues as part of a series of strategic planning workshops held over the past month.

During three recent workshops, the county discussed more than 20 topics, ranging from road paving, vehicle leasing, budgeting for large capital outlay purchases and boat ramps to economic development tax abatements, maintenance of local parks, straightening Deadman’s Curve, Hodges Park and emergency flooding repairs.
