Drugs stashed for inmate crew?

An alert citizen who observed suspicious activity at the Taylor County Sports Complex Wednesday afternoon tipped off law enforcement and their investigation led to two arrests and the seizure of 130.9 grams of marijuana — drugs that were apparently being “stashed” for an inmate work crew member to find.

In a call to 911, the witness related that he observed a white car pull over at the sofball/baseball fields and two individuals, a white female and a Hispanic male, then “walk the area” for a long period of time, Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Deputy Kyle Wimberley reported.
