New retailers moving to Perry

Rampant speculation has given way to tentative confirmation that the old Kmart building will be remodeled to accommodate three retailers: Beall’s Outlet, Harbor Freight and Rural King

The current owners of the former Kmart building are working on renovating the retail property in order to prepare it for sale or lease.

According to City Manager Taylor Brown, construction crews are currently installing a new membrane roof, as well as “sprucing up” the interior space.
