FHP charges man with DUI

A Perry man was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and failing to stop at a stop sign after crashing his vehicle on Golf Course Road early Saturday morning, June 29.

Michael Wade Wiles, 37, was traveling westbound on Golf Course Road at approximately 55-6- miles per hour when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 98. The 2007 GMC Sierra continued across the highway onto the west shoulder of the road and struck a fence, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Trooper William Harrell reported.
