    Expenses’ uptick, drop in revenues put a $700,000 strain on budget

    The Taylor County Commission is set to begin the 2013-14 budget workshops with a projected $700,000 deficit due to a slight drop in revenues and a large uptick in expenses, namely state retirement and Medicaid costs.

    The commission will hold its first workshop Thursday, July 18, at 1 p.m.
