County has land for sale

The former Doctors’ Memorial Hospital building on Ash Street is not the only county-owned property the Taylor County Commission is putting up for sale.

The county is currently soliciting sealed bids on 15 parcels the county acquired from tax deed sales, which “escheated” (or reverted) to the county by way of the tax deed process, due to property owners not paying their local county property taxes.
