10% of GOP votes cast

Early voting is officially underway for the Republican primary for the State House District 7 special election, and so far the turnout has exceeded expectations — thanks to a large number of mail-in ballots.

As of Tuesday afternoon, 505 ballots had been cast out of 4,908 registered Republican voters in the county, for a turnout of 10.29%.
