Michael Roy McGowan– The GOAT.
Mike was born on December 16, 1955, in Orlando, Fla. He passed away April 1, 2018, after a brief illness at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Perry, Fla.
Mike grew up in Zellwood, Fla., and attended school at Zellwood Elementary, Apopka Memorial High School, Mt. Dora Christian Bible School and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
Many years following his early education and career and a near-fatal automobile accident, Mike was inspired by the EMTs who saved his life. Through years of surgery and treatment, Mike went on to complete his studies to become a highly respected nationally certified Flight Paramedic and Paramedic Instructor, where he loved helicopter missions most of all.
