Good news for district: enrollment numbers better than expected

School officials got some surprising – but welcome — news two weeks ago when they received the latest updated student enrollment survey numbers from the state.

Instead of needing to identify major cuts to balance the upcoming 2019- 20 budget, Finance Director Ashley Valentine was pleasantly surprised to learn that state revenues may be the same or possibly even up slightly over the current year.
