County sells three of 15 properties up for sale; bidders get parcels for 10% of assessed value

The Taylor County Commission managed to sell just three of the 15 parcels it recently put out for bid, with the properties going for as little as 10% of their assessed value.

All of the properties had “escheated” (or reverted) to the county through the tax deed process due to the property owners not paying their county taxes.
