AMTEC Less-Lethal Corporation – the former owners of a local ammunition manufacturing and training facility – has reached a settlement with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) on proposed citations and penalties associated with a flash-powder explosion that fatally injured two workers at the Perry facility last September.

According to OSHA Public Relations Representative Michael D’Aquino, the original proposed $188,290 fine was reduced to $94,145 as part of the settlement, however the seven violations were upheld.
