Hazel M. Parker

Hazel M. Parker, 85, passed away April 16, 2019 in Perry. Hazel was born April 14, 1934 in Perry to Alvin Whitfield and Evelyn Connell Whitfield.

Hazel was of the Baptist faith and was a member of San Pedro Baptist Church. She was a faithful wife and a loving mother to her family. Hazel enjoyed the outdoors, a little fishing, tending to her roses, and her yard. She like to sew and embroider and was a wonderful cook.

Hazel was preceded in death by: her husband, James Clarence Parker; her parents, Alvin and Evelyn Whitfield; and a brother, Grady Whitfield.

Hazel is survived by: her children, Debbie Crumpler, Dorothy Parker (Kenny Dalton) and Ray Parker; her sister, Betty Connell; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Joe Hiers officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
